A redesigned online customer care system for all public services has been launched, giving the public an improved link to government departments.

The site at www.servizz.gov.mt can easily be used to ask for information, submit comments, suggestions or complaints while keeping track of the process through a history listing the organisation and representative handling the query and its status.

The service was launched by Communication Minister Austin Gatt and Parliamentary Secretary for Information Chris Said.

A simplified system was launched seven years ago but only provided the public with a single reference point for communicating with the government's many departments. Nevertheless, an average of more than 100 requests were received every day.

The new system can be improved further without any disruption to service.
