A 73-year-old man was grievously injured in a traffic incident in Marsa late on Sunday.

The police said in a statement the man, from Marsa, was rushed to hospital at 9pm after he was hit by a Toyota Vitz on Triq Patri Magri.

The 21-year-old driver is from Tarxien.

Police investigations are ongoing.
