A 32-year-old man from Żejtun was grievously injured when hit by a car on Triq Sir Temi Zammit in Mġarr on Friday morning.

The police said the car - a Ford Kuga - was being driven by a 44-year-old man from San Ġwann.

The accident was reported at 10.45am.

Police investigations are ongoing.
