A woman was grievously injured on Sunday night after being hit by a motorbike on Triq ix-Xatt in Sliema.

The police said in a statement the accident happened at 10pm.

The 67-year-old woman, a Serbian national, was injured by a Suzuki motorbike driven by a 22-year-old man from Msida.

Police investigations are ongoing.
