Dutch forensic experts are due to arrive in Bidnija this morning to launch their investigations into yesterday's car bomb murder of blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia.

They will be joined later by investigators from the American FBI.

The scene of the crime appears to have been preserved overnight, but tents were erected over the mangled remains of the car and the body a few metres away.

A police perimeter has been set up around a wide area.

Meanwhile, the police, reacting to reports in a section of the media, said no reports of threats against Mrs Caruana Galizia were lodged at Mosta police station in the past two weeks.
