It was immoral to stay silent when faced with the realities of war and unrest in several areas around the world, President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca said today in her message to the nation for Christmas and the New Year.

As she condemned, without reservation, political tactics, attacks on life and human dignity, domestic, cyber and other violence, she appealed for 2015 to be a year where the people would treasure peace.

President Coleiro Preca urged everyone to continue recounting to the younger generations the stories of how man failed when he placed violence before reason and compassion.
