A woman was seriously injured when the car she was driving crashed into a parked vehicle and a bus stop in Ta' Xbiex on Sunday afternoon.

The police said the accident happened at 2.15pm when the woman, 48 from Naxxar,  was reversing her Volkswagen Polo in Princess Margaret Street.

Magistrate Kevan Azzopardi is holding an inquiry.
