Salmonella has been confirmed in eggs sampled from a particular farm, the health authorities said on Tuesday night.

The salmonella was confirmed at St Joseph Farm, M. Xerri PLM 005.

In a statement, the authorities said that salmonella was confirmed during sampling carried by the veterinary authorities as part of the Veterinary National Control programme for salmonella.

The health authorities have ordered the recall of eggs packed by this farm.

They advised the public not to consume any eggs with the St Joseph Farm packaging.
