In 'Fifty Years Ago' (July 18) you reproduced the obituary of my late grandfather Sir Philip Pullicino under the sub-heading 'July 17, 1960'. This may have given the impression that he died on that day.

For the record, the day of his death was July 16, 1960, and it was a very special day for him as it was the feast of his patron saint, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, to whom he had a great devotion.

He was in fact buried in the crypt at the Carmelite church in Mdina, according to his wishes.
