Sisters Natasha and Charlene Grima have been chosen by Eros Music Sa Greece to represent Malta in the European Union CD Compilation "Your voice in Europe" with the song Xita fid-Dezert.

The lyrics are by Deo Grech, the music is by Charlene Grima.

"We are very happy and proud to represent Malta in the European CD Compilation and it was a big surprise when Eros Music Sa contacted us from Athens to inform us that our song was chosen for their CD project. It is very satisfying to know that our work is being appreciated. This event will give Malta the opportunity to be heard in many countries," the sisters said.

The two sisters are familiar faces for Maltese TV viewers as they are resident singers on the TV programme Xarabank. Both are in their early 20s, and both took part in the Song for Europe contest in the past.

In last year's festival, their song Superstitious came fifth and this entitled them to represent Malta in the Universe Talent International Song Festival which was held in Prague last October.
