MELI. On October 22, at St Vincent de Paul Hospital ALPHONSE (ex deputy secretary general, GWU), aged 65, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen, his children Ivan and his wife Mary Rose and Natasha and her fiancé Xavier, his grandson Isaac, his mother-in-law Nazarena, his brother and sisters, his brothers and sisters in-law and their families, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Hospital today at 2.15 p.m. for St Sebastian parish church, Qormi where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi will be greatly appreciated.
Lord grant him eternal rest.

Next Saturday, October 25, marks the trigesima die of Chevalier JOSEPH MAMO DINGLI. The 8.45 a.m. Mass at St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, will be offered for the repose of his soul. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Today is the seventh anniversary from the death of EMANUEL POLIDANO (ex-PC 420) of Floriana, resided at Sta Venera. Never forgotten by his wife Annie, his 10 children and relatives. Living Waters

Living Waters, a youth missionary society that has been operating for the past five years, will be hosting a reception with guest singers at Gianpula, in Rabat tomorrow at 7.30 p.m.

Proceeds will go for various projects the organisation has been undertaking in Ethiopia. These include the drilling of wells, funding educational and vaccination and health schemes and new farming projects in various poor and distant villages.

Living Waters are also undertaking projects in Guatemala and intend to set up other projects elsewhere.

Dog Show

The Malta Kennel Club will be holding its Fourth International Championship (CACIB) Dog Show at De La Salle College, Cottonera on November 8 from 3 to 6 p.m. and on November 9 from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2 to 6 p.m.

This is a qualifying event for Crufts 2004.

Food Products Exhibition

The Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an exhibition at its premises in Republic Street, Valletta between Monday and Thursday involving displays from 15 British companies.

With the support of UK Trade and Investment, the presentation, entitled Food Product Showcase, brings together food producers seeking representation here.

UK Trade and Investment staff will be available to help those interested in the products.

The event opens to the public on Monday at 8.30 a.m.
