CHETCUTI. On August 17, at Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, Fr anselmu, ofm, aged 86, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his Franciscan Brethren, the sisters of Dar tal-Kleru who took care of him for the past 16 years, the Daughters of the Sacred Heart to whom he was spiritual director, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

GABARRETTA. On August 17, JOHN LEWIS, aged 80, passed peacefully away after a long illness borne with Christian fortitude, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria Rosa née Camilleri, his sons, Karol and his wife Margaret née Farrugia, and Adrian and his wife Hilda née Mallia, his grandchildren John, James and Erika, his brother Raphael and his sister Anne De Bono, their families and all the Camilleri family, and friends.
Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 8.45 a.m. at St Gregory's parish church, Sliema followed by private interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.

On August 17, GIOACCHINO, known as Jackie Grech (ex-international footballer and Valletta FC player), aged 71 passed peacefully away at St Luke's Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. First Aid Courses

St John Ambulance will be holding two more first aid courses this month at its headquarters in Valletta. An evening course will start on Friday at 6.30 p.m., consisting of nine weekly lectures. Another course will run over four days between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. starting on August 26.

Registration will be accepted at the headquarters at 5 Independence Square on Tuesdays between 6.30 and 7 p.m. or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Franco Piccinino.
