The marriage took place on September 7, between CHRIS, son of Mr and Mrs Andrew Anastasi of Kappara, and VERONIQUE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Stephen Gatt of Balzan. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Mgr Albert Brincat, O.Carm., Fr Robert Wirth, SJ, Fr Joseph Brincat, Fr Savio Vella SDB and Fr John Scicluna S.J. at the parish church of the Annunciation, Balzan. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr Philippe Gatt and Mr Christian Bajada. Mr Mark Camilleri carried out the duties of best man, while Mr David Anastasi, Mr Karl Anastasi, Mr Matthew Borg Manche and Mr Sebastian Tanti Burlò acted as ushers. The bride was attended by Mrs Annabelle Bonello Lowell as matron of honour, while Miss Denise Gatt and Miss Roberta Anastasi were bridesmaids. A reception was held at the Corinthia San Gorg Hotel, St Julian's.

The marriage took place on September 9, at Our Saviour parish church, Lija, between CHRISTOPHER, son of Mrs Doris Balzan and the late Mr Philip Balzan, and CAROLINE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Cassar. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr John Scicluna, SJ, assisted by Fr Albert Buhagiar and Fr George Grima. The bride's sister, Ms Jacqueline Cassar and the groom's sister, Ms Marika Vassallo witnessed the ceremony. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Josiah Grech. The bride was attended by Ms Stephanie Cassar, the bride's sister, and Ms Rachel Balzan, the groom's sister, as maids of honour. Ms Nicole Vassallo was flower-girl and Master Stefan Grech was pageboy. Mr Mario Fountain and Mr Michael Vassallo acted as ushers. A reception was held at Villa Arrigo, San Pawl tat-Targa. The couple spent their honeymoon in South Africa.
