Appreciation - Josephine Camilleri

Ms Valerie Borg, of Valletta, writes:

The death of Josephine Camilleri, former teacher at a government school in Mosta, was recently announced.

I got to know Mrs Camilleri, who was also a Labour councillor in the same locality, some years ago when she used to teach my nephew. After our first encounter we remained friends; our mutual Labour principles being the first topic we talked about when we met.

Despite her political beliefs, she made no distinction between people who supported different parties. She would always offer a helping hand to those in need.

Unfortunately her illness terminated the life of a real lady. I shall always remember Josephine with a smile on her face. May the Good Lord reward her kind heart by placing her next to Him in heaven.

Appreciation - Fr Vincent Galea, OFM

Ms Marlene Pulla (née Serge), writes from Canada:

On August 21 there was a big party in heaven, as Fr Vincent Galea, OFM, was welcomed to his eternal reward.

I used to belong to Sacro Cuor parish and when Fr Vincent came to our church, it was for the better. He was a very holy man, our spiritual director at our Legion of Mary meetings. He was also a great confessor. I spoke to him last on the feast of Our Lady this year, which he loved dearly.

When he answered the phone he would say "How do you do?" I hope I will hear those words again when I finish my journey on this earth.
