Spain's national team coach Luis Enrique named a 23-man squad ahead for their opening Euro 2020 qualifiers against Norway on March 23 and Malta three days later at the National Stadium (kick-off: 20.45). 

The former Barcelona coach has selected a number of new faces in his squad as La Roja are in the process of rejuvenation following the 2018 FIFA World Cup fiasco and the disappointing UEFA Nations League campaign. 

Napoli' Fabian Ruiz, Sergio Canales, of Real Betis, Getafe's Jaime Mata, Dani Parejo, the Valencia's skipper and Athletic Bilbao's Iker Munian are Enrique's newest additions to his 23-man squad. 

Experienced players such as David De Gea, Sergio Ramos, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets were retained in the squad alongside Real Madrid midfielders Dani Ceballos and Marcos Asensio.

However, there was no place for the highly-rated Isco who was omitted from the squad due to a lack of playing time at Real Madrid in recent months.
