Oliver Spiteri is the new coach of Malta U-17 after agreeing terms with the MFA for the next two years. Spiteri is taking over from Joe Grech who this summer opted for club football and is now the new coach of Premier League side Floriana for the next two years.

Spiteri was assistant coach to Ray Farrugia at Marsaxlokk in 2005/06.

He was solely in charge for Marsaxlokk's two matches in the Intertoto Cup earlier this month which saw the southerners getting eliminated 4-1 on aggregate by Bosnia's NK Zrinjski.
