Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Farm Tractor and Machine Trade Association (FTMTA) has expanded the annual FTMTA Farm Machinery Show to include various motor industry exhibitors.

The FTMTA is the representative body of the farm machinery industry in Ireland and is one of the longest established trade bodies in the country, having existed in one form or another since 1913.

The show boasted over 160 exhibiting firms ranging from high-end farming vehicles to everyday family automotive cars.

SsangYong Automotive Ireland Limited (SAIL), a subsidiary company within Famalco Group, exhibited in this show with the primary objective of regenerating the brand’s identity in Ireland by displaying SsangYong’s most popular vehicles, including Musso, Rexton, Tivoli and XLV. Attendees could take a close look at these models and personally talk to the product specialists about the advantages of owning a SsangYong.

Country manager John McKenna said: “We’ve had a fantastic turnout despite the bad weather. It just goes to show how the SsangYong vehicles have generated a great deal of interest.

“The trade fair registered an attendance of over 20,500 guests and SAIL is satisfied with the feedback received. We have a great strategy in place for SsangYong Ireland and so far its execution is giving us very encouraging results. SsangYong Automotive Ireland feels that the first participation was a beneficial experience and is already making plans to attend next year’s FTMTA event.”

SsangYong Motors Malta and SsangYong Automotive Ireland Ltd are mobility business units within Famalco/Building Businesses. To view the SsangYong model range, visit the showroom in Attard, which is open from Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm and on Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
