Not only the residents at St Paul's Bay and its environs, but also those summer residents and visitors had nothing but praise for all those involved in this year's feast of Our Lady of Sorrows in St Paul's Bay, held on July 26.

In particular, all members of the feast committee, chaired by the young and industrious Adrian Abela, could not have celebrated better the committee's 40th anniversary. Thanks to them we saw more volunteers help with street decorations, the Sunday morning march, and the general organisation.

I must also mention Saturday's ground fireworks display, but especially those let off from the barge on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the middle of our beautiful bay. Thus the spectacle could be appreciated in all its glory by more people than ever before. This was a brllliant idea which one hopes will be repeated. I therefore appeal for support from individuals, societies and the authorities concerned.
