Visitors, patients and employees at St Luke's Hospital can now purchase postage stamps 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through a stamp vending machine, recently installed at the hospital. The stamp-vending machine has been placed in the hospital reception area, making it accessible to all.

Customers using the machine will be able to purchase self-adhesive postage labels of any denomination starting from 7c. Each label has a blank rectangle in the centre, where the denomination that the customer wishes to purchase as postage will be printed by the vending machine.

The labels show four different Malta views and promote the well known tourist sites of Malta and Gozo. These are Valletta by night, the Mdina gate, the Blue Lagoon and the Azure Window in Gozo. Other postal authorities around the world use postage labels and philatelic products to promote their countries in a similar manner.
