The Tunisian Justice Ministry  has lifted a warrant summoning the widow of late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat over a corruption scandal.

The warrant was issued in October and the Tunisian authorities had later explained that this was not an arrest warrant by a summoning for questioning about alleged corruption involving the former Tunisian president's family.

Suha Arafat lives in Malta.

The case centered on the International School of Carthage which was set up by Leila Trabelsi — the wife of former Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. Arafat had initially been involved in the project but then broke with the President's wife.
