A teenager was seriously injured when he dived into the sea at Manoel Island on Tuesday evening.

The police said the 16-year-old Libyan boy was assisted by an ambulance team before being taken to hospital where his injuries were found to be serious.  

The accident happened at about 6.30pm. The police are investigating.
