Domestic violence was described by this newspaper “an epidemic behind closed doors” (December 2).
In Malta, the parents of a number of unborn children make plans to do an abortion abroad, which is another type of domestic violence, indeed death, on very little unborn children.
It is reported that about 300 abortions are done abroad annually by people residing in Malta. These mostly take place in the UK, Sicily and other countries. Unfortunately, domestic violence against unborn children is always omitted when domestic violence is discussed in Malta.
To make matters worse for the unborn, the government has just decided for no good reason to remove from the revised law on domestic violence the clause that protected the 7,000 unborn children in Malta every year.
