The American destroyer USS Carney has arrived in Grand Harbour, the latest warship to take a break in Malta from operations off Libya.

The destroyer joins British assault ship HMS Ocean and supply ship RFA Fort Rosalie, which have been in harbour for several days.

Another assault ship, the French Navy's Mistral, left Grand Harbour yesterday after a crew change, but is expected to return shortly. It was the first time in decades that two helicopter carriers - Ocean and Mistral, were in Grand Harbour at the same time.

But they are not the only attractions in Grand Harbour.

Gracing the Grand Harbour Marina in the superyacht Serene, one of the biggest and most luxurious motoryachts in the world, whose equipment includes a submarine, a helicopter and internal swimming pool. The 134-metre yacht was built in the Italian shipyard of Fincantieri and is brand new.
