Fond Għadir, in Sliema, is safe for swimming, the Environmental Health Directorate said on Monday.

The directorate issued a warning last week against swimming in the area, but it has now said that after repeated seawater sampling, the site was once again fit for bathing.

Fond Għadir is one of the most popular bathing spots around the Sliema/St Julian's area.
