Haruna Garba is confident about Nigeria's chances in the 2018 FIFA World Cup as they head to Russia to face heavyweights in Argentina and Croatia alongside debutants Iceland.

Nigeria have a very young squad but the former Ħamrun Spartans forward underlined their enthusiasm and passion as two key factors from which the Super Eagles can benefit. 

"We can do an upset and progress from the group," Garba said.

"We have been doing well lately and despite there are no big stars in the team, the players have showed a lot of desire in representing their nation."
