I refer to the letter by Richard Stagno Navarra about maltaweather.com (December 16).
Please note that on December 13 we did not forecast cloudy weather with light showers but heavy rain showers and thunderstorms, possibly severe. In fact, this forecast had been posted at least the day before.
Also, our warnings on our homepage and the five-day forecast page were nigh for heavy rainfall too.
Mr Stagno Navarra must have been seeing an older version from his computer cache memory. He would need to alter his computer settings accordingly to view the latest updates on all websites.
Our many clients can attest to our extreme accuracy in weather forecasts. In fact, on December 9 we issued a heavy rain warning till the following Wednesday and on December 12, at about 8.30 a.m, we issued another more specific warning for heavy rain showers, floods and severe thunderstorms with the possibility of a tornado (which, in fact, did occur in Marsascala). This warning was issued by e-mail and SMS to our clients 24 hours before the stormy weather occurred.
Our weather website is viewed by over 40,000 visitors and over 1.4 million hits monthly, so this does indicate the popularity of our website due to its accurate forecasts.
