A woman was injured on Wednesday in a traffic accident in Għajnsielem.

The police said the accident happened in Mġarr Road at 7am.

The woman was driving a Kia Avela that was involved in a collision with an Opel Astra that was being driven by a 34-year-old man from Nadur.

She was taken to Gozo General Hospital by ambulance.

Her condition is not yet known.

The police are investigating.
