Road detours will be in place in the coming days to lay tarmac ahead of the major Kappara project.

Works will be underway on Triq l-Imsida Gżira starting from this evening through till Wednesday. 

Traffic coming from Gżira proceeding to Sliema will be diverted through Rue d’Argens onto Triq Manoel De Vilhena proceeding towards Triq l-Imsida. Traffic coming out of Gżira towards Ta’ Xbiex will be diverted through a temporary road from Ġnien il-Kunsill tal-Ewropa Gżira.

Public transport will follow the same diversion routes.

Works will also take place in Triq ix-Xatt, Pieta’. Traffic coming from Valletta to Msida will be diverted to G’Mangia onto Msida and traffic coming from Gżira to Valletta will be diverted onto Triq Clarence towards Pieta’. 

All works will take place in the evening.

Transport Malta reminded all drivers to follow road signage and instructions by officials on site and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
