Flight to Edinburgh returns to Malta after medical emergency

A passenger fell ill early in the flight

A MaltaAir (Ryanair) flight from Malta to Edinburgh had to return to Malta on Sunday afternoon after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.

The Boeing 737 was close to Sicily when a man fainted and the plane turned back to Malta.

An ambulance was waiting at the airport.
