Two people have been arrested by the police following a cannabis find at Tarxien earlier today.

The police said they received information that cannabis plants were probably being grown at a residence in Tarxien.

On searching the place, the police found 10 plants of different sizes being grown in the bathroom, as well as several pieces of cannabis resin and other objects related to drug trafficking and abuse.

The police arrested a 21-year-old man who lived at the residence and his 19-year-old girlfriend, who lives in Tarxien.

Duty magistrate Anthony Vella is holding an inquiry.
