The police have arrested a Maltese woman after she was found in possession of 3.5kgs of heroin.

The woman, a 46-year-old from Marsa, was intercepted by Customs officers and policemen at the airport shortly after she arrived from Tunisia.

She is expected to be arraigned tomorrow.
