Marsascala parish church is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the arrival of the titular statue ofSt Anne.

It was on September 6, 1947, when the statue arrived in the small fishing village from Ortisei, Province of Bolzano, Italy.

Various religious activities were held this year to commemorate this anniversary.

The celebrations will come to an end today when Marsascala parish priest Fr Roderick Camilleri, together with the parish clergy, concelebrate Mass at 6.30pm. All parishioners and St Anne devotees are encouraged to attend.
