A group of 12 teachers, kindergarten assistants and learning support assistants recently completed a basic first aid course at St Benedict College Safi Primary.

The course involved theoretical and practical sessions. The main focus of these sessions was child safety and first aid at school. The initiative was a follow-up session to a professional development course on safety at schools held during winter. The educators volunteered to further their knowledge in this area.

This course initiative was held in conjunction with the Health and Safety Unit of the Directorate of Educational Services in collaboration with Malta Red Cross.
