Playsafety Malta Ltd has been set up with the sole purpose to conduct inspections and risk assessments on indoor and outdoor play equipment, safer surfacing, sports surfacing and other play areas both indoor and outdoor. The company will be operating under license from RoSPA Playsafety Ltd a premier organisation, leader in the world of play safety.

RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) is a registered charity established over 90 years ago and is actively involved in the promotion of safety and the prevention of accidents in all areas of life – at work, in homes, at school and on the roads. By providing information, advice, resources and training RoSPA aims to campaign for change, influence opinion, contribute to debate and educate.

For the past 20 years RoSPA Playsafety Ltd has been delivering inspections and consultancy services in the field of children’s play safety on behalf of RoSPA. It has a dedicated team of 18 highly qualified inspectors throughout the UK and Ireland. Every year the company conducts over 15,000 safety inspections in areas where children play. RoSPA also has branches in Australia, Estonia, Poland and Bulgaria.

Typically the company’s target areas will include inspections of outdoor playgrounds, indoor play areas, multi-use games areas, playing fields, teenage facilities, parks and open spaces, school playgroundsand sports areas. The company’s services include assistance in the planning and design process to ensure that they meet the standards, onsite inspections, post installation inspections, risk assessments, education and the promotion of safety in play areas.

The local team is led by Pierre Cuschieri who has an extensive knowledge of local playgrounds and play equipment and who has been responsible of installations both locally and overseas for the past 16 years.

Mr Cuschieri has for the last three years been registered as a playground inspector with RPII – The Register of Play Inspectors International.
