Green Party unveils list of candidates and which districts they will be contesting
The Green Party unveiled its full list of candidates on the second day of the general election campaign.
Its leader, Sandra Gauci, will be on the ballot sheets for the electorate registered on Qormi, Siġġiewi, Ħal Farruġ, and Luqa, Mġarr, Mellieħa, St Paul's Bay and Burmarrad.
This year, ADPD joined forces with Momentum. Although agreeing that their candidates will run under their respective party banners, they have agreed to coordinate which candidates will run in each electoral district.
Both minor political parties will also encourage voters to give their first preference to their preferred candidates, and to "continue on the rest of the candidates from both the ADPD and Momentum".
The parties are seeking to break the decades-long duopoly held by PL and PN.
On Wednesday, ADPD said its candidates had been approved by the party's executive on Tuesday evening.
Gauci said the party was distributing its candidates across all districts, as it has done in all previous general elections.
"Our candidates are committed to representing our Green and progressive principles. They are committed to working in favour of the common good and not the interests of the few."
