Marriage

Mr CHRISTOPHER CONRAD and Miss AMY GRECH

The marriage took place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at St Mary’s parish church, Birkirkara, between CHRISTOPHER, son of Martin and Maria Conrad, and AMY, daughter of Joseph Grech and Cecilia Grech Marguerat. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Patrick Magro, SJ, and witnessed by Mr Andrea Cassar and Mr Julian Darmanin. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Andrea Calleja, while Mr Luca Fenech, Mr Samuel Muscat, Mr Ricky Galea, Mr Russell Galea and Mr Stephen Vella Lanzon were groomsmen. The duties of maid of honour were carried out by Miss Miriana Fenech Caruana and Miss Elaine Piscopo, while Miss Charlotte Axisa, Miss Katrina Conrad, Miss Katrina Debattista and Mrs Mariah Camenzuli were bridesmaids. A reception followed at Villa Mdina, Naxxar. The couple spent their honeymoon abroad.

Obituaries

KRZYZ. On May 21, ROSE, née Saliba, passed away at home in Sheffield, England, after an illness bravely borne. Beloved and devoted wife of Alex, cherished mother of Paul, Sarah, James and Emma and a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren who were her greatest joy in life. Rose also leaves behind her beloved sister Helen, together with her nephew, nieces, relatives and many dear friends in both Malta and England, all of whom will miss her deeply. Please remember Rose and her family in your prayers.

MUSCAT. On May 26, BENNY, peacefully passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by all his family, leaving beautiful memories of a loving and dedicated father and grandfather. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children Lara and Gordon, and Ben and Nadine, his adored grandchildren Jake, Kane, Kate, Mia and Sienna, his brother and sisters, his nephews and nieces, dear relatives and numerous close friends here in Malta and abroad, and all the loving staff at La Buona Trattoria Del Nonno, St Paul’s Bay and Ta’ Marija, Mosta. The funeral took place last Thursday. May the Lord grant him eternal rest. He will be sorely missed.

SCICLUNA. On May 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIE THERESE, of Sliema, aged 82, passed peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves, to mourn her loss her brother Enrico and his wife Beryl, her nephew Julien and his wife Julie, her grandnieces Blanche and Candice and her grandnephews Nathan and Elijah, her cousin Milo Vassallo and his wife Rita, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Friday, June 5, at 9.30am, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Balluta parish church, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

BECK. Unfading memories of our dear amazing mother, ANNE, tomorrow being the eighth anniversary of her flying into the arms of Our Lord. BLUNDELL. Treasured memories of a most beloved husband, EDGAR, who died on May 28, 1994. Fondly remembered by his wife Carmen.

DEBONO – FRANK. Treasured and loving memories of a much loved and dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather on the 35th anniversary of his meeting with the Lord. Always in our hearts and prayers. His daughters Marguerite, Pauline, Lucienne and their families. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

DEBONO. In ever loving memory of MARIA on the 20th anniversary of her demise. Always in our thoughts and prayers. Her husband Lino, her children Daniella and Antoine, their spouses and her beloved grandchildren.

In loving memory of GAETANO SPITERI a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, on the third anniversary of his passing to eternal life. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Violet, his son Raymond and Mary Anne, his daughter Anna, his grandchildren, their spouses, and his great-grandchildren. Masses for the repose of his soul will be said tomorrow Monday, June 1, at 7am and 6pm at St Francis of Assisi church, Ħamrun, and at 8am at Santa Marija Assunta parish church, Għaxaq. Forever in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CALLEJA - In loving memory of our dear departed parents PAUL (June 2, 2001) and HELEN k/a Lily (June 14, 1988).
