Obituaries

BONANNO. On June 10, CARMEL, passed away peacefully, aged 80. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Connie, his son Etienne and his wife Patricia, his siblings Doris, Rita, Marthese, Joseph, Frank and Julie, his in-laws Agnes, Brother Austin Gili, their respective families, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated tomorrow, Friday, June 12, at 8.30am, at Fgura parish church, followed by private interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

VASSALLO. On June 3, at home, CHRIS, aged 62, passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves to mourn his great loss his dear wife Sue and his beloved daughter Francesca, his dear mother Lina, his brother Kenneth and his wife Blanche, his in-laws and nieces, other relatives and friends. The celebration of life of Chris will be held on Saturday, June 13, at 10am, at St Dominic’s church, Rabat, Malta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Malta, Santa Venera. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

XUEREB. On May 8, JESMOND, aged 58, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will always be remembered by his wife Helena, his daughter Rachel, his father Emanuel, his sister Mariosa and her husband Joseph, his sister-in-law Carmen, his nephews and nieces Miriana, Coralie and Jamie, his uncles, aunties and his cousins and from his wife’s side, colleagues and friends both in Malta and in the United Kingdom. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, June 13, at 8.45am, for St Nicholas of Tolentine church, Tarxien, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by interment at Għargħur cemetery. The attendance of his family and friends is highly appreciated. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace.
