A badly decomposed body was found at Ġnejna Bay on Tuesday morning, the police said.

It could not be immediately identified.

Magistrate Elaine Mercieca is holding an inquiry and an autopsy will be held.

A month ago, the police and the armed forces launched a search off Fort St Elmo for a 42-year-old Finnish man who was reportedly seen falling into a rough sea.  That search was unsuccessful.
