Chauncey Billups had 19 points and 10 assists to help the Detroit Pistons rout the New Jersey Nets 85-71. Richard Hamilton, celebrating his 28th birthday, added 18 points as the Pistons improved to 42-9 in their final game before the NBA All-Star break.

Detroit won for the third time in four games and head into the break with the NBA's top record as they try to follow up back-to-back Eastern Conference play-off championships.
