Ann and Thomas Fenech write:

In the last minutes of last Wednesday week, our Lord called Charisse, aged 44, to her eternal rest in heaven. We know of no person more deserving of Heaven than her, however the prematurity of this reward and the suddenness of the calling is something which we find inexplicable and terribly hard to accept.

This is particularly so because Charisse was a pillar of strength - physical, mental and moral - always there for everyone. She had been blessed with a degree of common sense, an outright rarity. A totally devoted and loving wife and mother; a caring and supportive daughter, sister and daughter-in-law; a truly wonderful and unique friend; these are just a very few of the accolades Charisse deserves. She had a tremendous ability to make everyone in her presence feel they were special and was always there to listen to whatever you had to say.

Whether it was important or thoroughly trivial, Charisse listened patiently giving her utmost and undivided attention. Never in all the years we've known her did she speak ill of any person and was always the one to pick the good in people, always with that special smile on her face.

Charisse had the ability of living a truly Christian life where her priorities were her husband and children, while enjoying life to the full. She was no shrinking violet, was a true lover of life and yet there was always that defined and proper line - the difference between right and wrong - a line she always kept on the right side of with a great sense of responsibility and example.

This is the legacy which Charisse has left her beloved Gerard, Andrew and Fay, her parents, Arienne and Timmy and mother-in-law and all of us, her many friends, who are grateful for having been privileged to share Charisse's experience and journey through life.

To Gerard, Andrew and Fay, Mr and Mrs German, Arienne and Timmy and Mrs Camilleri, our most heartfelt and deepest sympathy. Thankfully our faith is such that we know that sooner or later we will meet again in eternal life and therefore, painful as it, we say "Au revoir dearest Charisse, till we meet again".
