In last Sunday's article 'Securing power supply in 2030' by Anne Zammit, the sentence on evaluating potential of photovoltaic panels should have read "...the Arka respite care centre in Gozo would have saved on the electricity bill after fitting photovoltaic panels on the roof.

"The total stand-by consumption of all appliances in a household (not just the television) could amount to five kilowatt hours per day.

"There is great potential for reducing electrical consumption on a national level if energy audits are carried out on individual homes."
