A restaurant on Monday shared a photo of a receipt showing a €1,200 tip that a customer left for a €94.50 meal when dining in Valletta last week.

Beati Paoli Restaurant posted the receipt, dated June 11, on Instagram, thanking the customer for their generous tip.

"Your kindness and appreciation mean far more to us than words can adequately express.

"Gestures like yours inspire and motivate our entire team to continue providing the best possible experience to our guests," the restaurant said under the post on Instagram.
