On Saturday, feast day, a special mass for the sick and aged will be celebrated by Can. Michael Xuereb at 9am during which the Sacrament of the Sick will be administered and the devotional bread buns will be delivered. Bishop George Bugeja, OFM, will lead a concelebrated mass at 6.30pm.

As is the normal practice, each year, on the feast of St Anthony, the miraculous statuette of Baby Jesus, known as the Baby Jesus of Padua, has been put on display on the main altar of the church. Dating to the 18th century, the devotional statuette is brought to the homes of sick people and of women expecting a child. Each time a grace is received with the intercession of Baby Jesus, a new dress is offered to the effigy, besides other votives.
