Final deeds of sale of residential property up by 11.7% in June
Value increased by 19.5% over same month of last year
In June, the number of final deeds of sale of residential property amounted to 1,117 - an increase of 11.7% over the same month of last year, according to national data.
The National Statistics Office said in a statement that the value of these deeds totalled €360.8 million - representing an increase of 19.5 per cent when compared to the corresponding value recorded in June 2025.
Final deeds of sale
In the month under review, 997 (or 89.3%) of these final deeds of sale involved individual buyers (households), with companies accounting for virtually all remaining deeds.
The value of the deeds involving individual buyers (households) amounted to €261.5 million - equivalent to 72.5% of the total value.
The highest numbers of final deeds of sale were recorded in Birkirkara (73), St Paul's Bay (70) and Mosta (54).
During the month under review, the number of properties transacted in the final deeds of sale was equivalent to 1,240.
Apartments (400) and garages (292) accounted for the largest shares, at 32.3% and 23.5%, respectively.
Promise of sale agreements
During this same month, 1,026 residential property promise of sale agreements were registered - equivalent to a decrease of 7.2% over the same period in 2025.
The value of these agreements totalled €447.9 million, representing an increase of 10.8% when compared to the corresponding value recorded in June 2025.
Individual potential buyers (households) accounted for 889 (or 86.6%) of these agreements, while the rest mainly involved companies
The highest number of promises of sale agreements were recorded in St Paul's Bay (85), Birkirkara (50) and Żabbar (45)
