Malta champions Hibernians will be among the first teams to come out of the hat today when the draw for next season's Champions League first two qualifying rounds is made at the UEFA offices in Nyon.

Hibernians will be one of two unseeded teams in a first qualifying round draw that only involves three other clubs, seeded teams FK Mogren, of Montenegro, and Andorra's Sant Julia, and the unseeded SP Tre Fiori, of San Marino.

The two legged ties will be played on June 30/July 1 and July 7/8.

FK Mogren and Sant Julia have been seeded in accordance with the club rankings established by UEFA at the beginning of the season.

Like Hibs, FK Mogren and Sant Julia won their respective domestic league titles on the very last day of the 2008/09 season.

The Paolites wrested the title from defending champions Valletta and the same happened in Montenegro and Andorra as Mogren and Sant Julia dethroned Buducnost Podgorica and Santa Coloma respectively.

Among the most attractive teams Hibernians could be paired with if they reach the second qualifying round (July 7/8 and 14/15) are FC Copenhagen, Levski Sofia, Partizan Belgrade and FC Salzburg.

The draw of the first two qualifying rounds of the Europa League, with three Maltese clubs, Sliema Wanderers, Valletta and Birkirkara in the pot, will also be made this afternoon.

FA Trophy holders Sliema will play in the second qualifying round (July 16 and 23) but league runners-up Valletta and third-placed Birkirkara will figure in the first qualifying round (July 2 and 9).

Valletta and Birkirkara will also be unseeded in the draw and their prospective opponents include the likes of Rosenborg, Helsingborg, Motherwell and Anorthosis Famagusta.

Hamburg will host the Europa League final on May 12 next year.

The 2010 Champions League final will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid on May 22.
