Illegal structure removed from Buġibba foreshore

Planning Authority says the individual responsible for the structure had cooperated, and no enforcement notice was issued

An unauthorised structure set up on the Buġibba foreshore has been removed after the jet ski operator was ordered to do so by the planning authority.

The PA said on Tuesday that enforcement officers had contacted the individual responsible for the structure. He indicated that clearance had been obtained from other entities in relation to a jet ski operation.

The officers formally instructed him to remove the structure without delay as the authority would otherwise issue an enforcement notice.

On Wednesday, the PA said the unauthorised structure had been removed.

The authority said the person responsible for the structure had cooperated with its officials.

The PA will continue to monitor the site to ensure full and sustained compliance with planning regulations and can take further action where necessary.
