The Parliamentary Secretariat for Animal Rights has ordered an investigation into allegations that a dog was allowed to die at sea in tal-Menqa, Marsa.

The secretariat said in a statement this evening two officials went on site last night following a call for assistance.

The case, the secretariat said, was being treated with the importance and seriousness it deserved. It said that if the investigation found any shortcoming from an official all necessary disciplinary action would be taken.
