MaltaToday poll has Labour leading PN by 7,500 votes
Gap between parties narrows slightly, but Abela gains in the trust barometer
The Labour Party is leading the PN by 7,500 votes according to a MaltaToday survey on Sunday, a marginal narrowing of the gap from another survey in January.
Prime Minister Robert Abela has a trust gap of 6.4 points over Opposition leader Alex Borg, up from 5.4 points in January.
The survey of voting intentions foud Labour at 48.2%, the PN at 45.6%, ADPD at 3.7%, Momentum at 2.1% and others at 0.4%.
The January survey had shown a vote difference of 9,300 between the two main parties.
Last month, a survey by statistician Vincent Marmarà found the gap between the parties to be between 25,000 and 29,000 votes in Labour’s favour. Labour won the last general election with a gap in its favour of 39,000 votes.
In the latest survey, 13.3% of former Labour voters said they do not intend to vote at the forthcoming general election, compared to only 5.6% of former PN voters.
The survey was conducted between February 23 and March 6 on a representative sample of 784.
