Man dies after four-storey fall in Mosta residence
Victim fell down shaft of private residence
A 64-year-old man died on Thursday afternoon after falling four storeys inside a private residence in Mosta.
Police said the incident occurred at around 3pm in a property in Triq il-Ħarifa, where the man fell down the building’s shaft.
The victim was on the roof of his own property "fixing something", a police spokesperson said.
A medical team was called to the scene, but the victim was certified dead on site.
Magistrate Franco Agius has appointed a magisterial inquiry, while police investigations are ongoing.
The incident comes just days after 76-year old Elia Muscat died in a separate accident in Qormi, when a wall he was building inside his garage collapsed on him.
