Motorcyclist grievously injured in St Julian's overnight collision

Biker taken to hospital with grievous injuries

A motorcyclist was grievously injured in an early morning collision in St Julian’s overnight, police said.

The biker, a 27-year-old Colombian man who lives in San Ġwann, was riding a Kymco Skytown 125 motorbike on Triq Ġorġ Borġ Olivier when the collision occurred at around 1.45am.

The crash involved a BYD SEAL U DM-I car driven by a 29-year-old Pakistani national who lives in Qormi.

A medical team was called to the scene and took the motorcyclist to Mater Dei Hospital.

Medics at the hospital certified the man as being grievously injured.

Police investigations are under way.
